Lots of things

I've been doing all sorts of things lately.  I've been finding crochet the most soothing, and I can do that at night.

I find beading difficult to do at night, because I get lots of glare and shadows from lamps, and there's too many bits and pieces to keep track of.

I've made a few different crochet earrings, but I'm still in the process of stiffening them.  Then I'll take photos.

I'll be doing a tutorial on a blocking board soon, and maybe some information on blocking and stiffening crochet.

I've also made some wire ear cuffs and slave earrings, I just haven't photographed them yet.

Crochet baby clothes will be coming soon too.

I have so many ideas, but never enough time.

New Australian website for Gothic jewellery

I've created another new site called NIGHT COVE. This one is for chainmail, Goth jewellery and steampunk. And it's all made in Australia.

https://sites.google.com/site/nightcove/

There will be a wide range of lockable jewellery, slave bracelets (handflowers), barefoot sandals (slave anklets), and steampunk.

Some items are made of chainmail, others from  wire work, and yet others beaded.

There is also a range of vintage jewellery, and belly dancing wear.

This is the first handflower design.

I have many many more ideas for things, there are so many handflower and footflower designs in my head, and sketched out. And so many more ideas for ear cuffs, wraps and vines.

Here are some of the other chainmail designs.

Which image type?

I wonder if any of you readers could help?

I decided I need to re-photo some of my older images.  I plan on having a few different images for each item, but I can't decide if I should combine them all into one image, or keep them separate.

What do you think?

these three separately?

or this one on it's own?

PAPER QUILLING

Paper quilling is now available.  This is just a few of the samples currently available. Even more styles will be coming soon.

Quilling is made entirely with paper.  Thin strips of paper are curled and shaped, then made into a design.

Being made of paper makes them very light and delicate looking, but they are actually very strong.  All of my jewellery is coated several times to give them a little bit of shine, and to make them even stronger.

Beading Hiatus

I've had trouble with sore wrists and pins and needles in the hands.  So I haven't done an awful lot of beading or crafts lately.  I'm going to be tested for carpal tunnel syndrome in February, hopefully whatever it is can be fixed.

I'm going insane not doing a lot of my usual stuff though, so I might do some quilling again.  It's still using the hands, but maybe it may use different muscles and not be such a problem.  I didn't take photos of a lot of my previous quilling, so this will be a good opportunity to get more images listed.

For those that don't know what quilling is, it's working with tiny bits of paper to form 3d objects.  Most often very fine strips of paper are rolled up, but sometimes larger pieces are folded and glued.  The finished pieces are often used for scrap-booking, and they can create very interesting greeting cards.
